Good tourist attraction in Incheon

<Wolmi Observatory>


Good for a walk and watching sunset & night view


Wolmi-do is one of the most popular tourist attraction in Incheon. 
It used to be an island but the land path was built so that people can get there by car.
There are many facilities in Wolmi-do, 
but today, I'm going to introduce you the beautiful observatory where you can look around Incheon.

Let me introduce Wolmi Observatory in Wolmi traditional park.

There are some routes you can select to get to the Wolmi Observatory.
I chose "Forest path (숲오름길)"

After looking around Korea traditional park, I walk up the Forest path.

It was good to walk. I saw many people walking as an exercise.

Following signs, you can reach this stairs to the observatory.

I felt like I was in Gangwon-do.

There were many trees and the air was so fresh.



As you can see above, it's open until late so that  you can see the sunset and night view.

Searching the photos of sunset and night view, it was great.
I want to visit there again, when the weather is nice.









Height : 23 m (75 ft)


There is a glass observatory inside, which is good for children.
There is also a book cafe.







You can see "Muuido" and "Incheon grand bridge".

People were recording a broadcasting show for children at the observatory.


I think this place would be also great when spring comes and cherry blossom blooms.

When I read the guide book, I got to know that it place was chosen to be "The Best 20th walking course in Seoul & Incheon"

I want to know from 1st to 19th.


You can use a shuttle car for children.

Wolmi park "Sea lion shuttle car"

It's an eco-friendly electronic car for weak elderly and children to get to the top of Mt. Wolmi. 
It's named after the Sea lion(natural Monument and the mascot for 2014 Incheon Asian game) which lives in Baekryeongdo.

Operation hour : 10~17:30 (except for lunch time 12~13)

Operation route 
Park information center  -> Wolmi intersaction -> Dondea intersaction -> Square at the top of the mountain (one way 1.3km)

Rate : For adult (one way 1,000 won/ round 1,500 won)
          For children (one way 500 won/ round 800 won) ※Free for less than 4 years old





By bus : After getting off at Seoul metro Line 1 'Incheon station', take buses number 2, 23, 45, or 720 and get off at Wolmi park station.


That's it.

I'm planning to visit there again for sunset and night view.

"When you visit Wolmi-do, don't forget to visit the Wolmi Obervatory, too!!"

If you want to look around Incheon city, this observatory would be the best.
I don't recommend you to visit only for this.
But when you visit Wolmi-do or Wolmi park, you'd better visit this observatory too.
There are so many interesting things in Wolmi-do besides this!
