'China town - Wolmido' Tour Route

The best attraction in downtown in Incheon

You can visit many beautiful islands like Ganghwado, Baengnyeongdo and Muuido in Incheon, or you can visit huge shopping malls and fish market. But the best attraction people visit the most is the 'China town - Wolmido (차이나타운-월미도)' route.
You can look around China town and Wolmido within a day and it's very convenient to get by public transportation. In this area, you can enjoy the history of Korea, delicious foods, amusement park and other interesting things together.

Recommended Route

1. Incheon Station

(인천 중구 북성동1가 3)

Incheon Station(인천역) is the last station of Seoul Metro Line 1.
You can see the entrance of the Chinatown when you get out of the Incheon Station.
And if you want to get more information or a free map, Get out of the station and turn left to visit the Tourist Information Center. (English, Chinese, Japanese available)

2. China Town (takes about 2 hours to look around)

China town(차이나타운) is the place where the Jajangmyeon(자장면), one of the most popular foods in Korea, originated. So, there are so many Jajangmyeon restaurants and also is a Jajangmyeon museum. Especially the Gonghwachun(공화춘) is the very restaurant that Jajangmyeon was born, so there are always people waiting to eat the original Jajangmyeon.
In Chinatown, you can also enjoy the wall paintings of the Three Kingdoms, many history museums and other delicious street foods.

3. Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village (takes about 1 hour to look aroun)

Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village(송월동 동화마을) is the small village which is about 5 minutes away from China town.
This is the real village people live in and that is decorated with fairy tale stories.
This village is very good for taking photos.

4. Wolmido (takes about more than 4 hours to looks around)

(인천 중구 북성동1가 98-565)

Wolmido(월미도) is the best downtown attraction in Incheon. There are a 'Korean Traditional House Park' , 'Wolmi Observatory' where you can see the Incheon from the high place, 'Wolmi Amusement Park' where you can enjoy exciting rides, 'Korea mmigration history museum' and so on.
Above all, 'Wolmi Cultural Street' is where you can visit many sea food restaurants and cafes where you can see the beautiful sunset.
It takes about more than 4 hours to look around these things but you can choose a few places where you want to visit to save your time.

How to go to Wolmido from China town or Fairy tale village

1. Bus

Take buses (No 2, 23, or 45) in front of the Incheon Station. (In front of the Tourist Information)
Wolimido is the last station and it takes about less than 20 min.

2. Taxi

If you take a taxi from Incheon Station, it costs about 4500 won and takes about 10 min.
If you travel with many people, it could be cheaper to take a taxi. (recommend)
